Arrived to Mongkok

Arrived to Mongkok

Just arrived to Mongkok and our first stop was to fill our bellies🤤. Where else can you go to a 3-time Michelin restaurant for a meal for less than $9 AUD🫢❗️

We finally made it to Tung Choi street to check out the aquarium vendors and straight away noticed the amount of small Animal stores that have crept in and taken over many of the positions that Aquarium stores used to occupy🧐❗️They sell cats, dogs, rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters and myriad of accessories to suit🐕🐇🐈.

Potentially since covid and its global impact on economies and resultant impact on people's behaviour with more time poor lifestyles and increased time spent working has meant fishkeeping has been less of a priority.

Having said this there was still plenty of Aquarium vendors selling fish and accessories but it wasn't the WOW that I used to feel on my initial few visits here.

Trends that are highly popular are the lines of Glofishthat we sadly in Australia still don't have the pleasure of experiencing due to their genetic modification.

Aquascaping is still popular with plenty of displays to die for and great for inspiration and something in Australia is still relatively in its infancy but has made noticeable leaps and bounds in recent years.

I will be heading back here to spend more time on my return leg so please let me know in the comments what you would like to see more of❗️
