Time goes by too fast; the future for Aquatic Solutions.

I blinked and suddenly I realised I’m no longer the young gun, but fast becoming an old dog! It seems that time flies by faster the more you age and it's daunting as I still have so many great plans and dreams. I am just hoping I can accomplish them in my lifetime.
 
I have never been one to shy away from hard work, I actually enjoy challenges, and like to be busy and active. This has helped me to build and grow Aquatic Solutions to where it is today and the same ideology has been put into practice in Aquatic Culture, the fish farm, I acquired in 2022.
 
I have always believed that if I put my head down, worked hard then good things will happen. This was about the extent of my early business strategy. However, after running Aquatic Solutions for over 13 years now, I have realised this strategy is becoming increasingly less manageable and requiring ALL of my time! 
 
I am wondering who can fill my shoes at Aquatic Solutions so one day I can jump into my fish farming boots fulltime and fulfill my end game to bring a new style of ornamental fish farming to Australia that will change this industry forever.
 
Are you sick of seeing prices go up for everything? If all goes to plan, I will be making fish prices of our farm bred fish cheaper than ever! I need your help and support to do this. I encourage you to please buy local where applicable. It really makes a difference to all Aussie small businesses, mine and yours alike.
 
We as a wholesaler rely on selling fish in bulk quantities, with regular turnover and lower margins. I frown in dismay having to put prices of fish up, but what can I do when every aspect of everything involved continues to go up, with no end in sight. Freight, wages, foam boxes, rent, interest rates, water, electricity, fuel, etc. This, combined with a weak performing Australian dollar and the fact that most fish imports are paid in US dollars means that inevitably fish prices have to go up. Once prices go up ultimately you sell less fish and then you are relying on margins over volumes to pay the bills. This also means you and I are holding fish for longer which also comes at a cost.
 
For Aquatic Solutions we have employed several strategies to overcome some of these difficulties. We all have to change and adapt.
 
We have been putting significant effort to share our massive fish collection and showcase the health, colour, size and condition of the actual fish we have for sale. No filters, no doctoring or AI enhancing!
 
We run regular specials with hugely discounted prices to promote the fish we and our network of producers are having success with.
 
We also run promotions and competitions to provide our customers with something, new exciting and unique. Watch this space in the coming weeks for some more, new and exciting competitions and prizes.
 
We search for fish all over the world and throughout Australia to bring the Australian market one of the biggest collections of freshwater fish around. Our focus is to have fish in prime condition, displaying excellent colouration with generous sizing and great pricing.
 
We are so lucky to work so closely with our huge network of Aussie specialist breeders and farms that produce some truly amazing fish for us. We also assist our network of breeders by sourcing and supplying them with top quality broodstock for them to work with, and produce successfully in big numbers to supply back to us.
 
We buy in bulk from our domestic and overseas suppliers to get the best prices possible and pass them onto our customer base. Often buying excess stock that our breeders are having success in breeding and on-selling them at hugely discounted prices.
 
We have long-standing relationships with some of the world's leading fish exporters and regularly bring to the Australian market the best stock available from overseas.
 
Our fish farm Aquatic Culture in FNQ continues to produce some truly awesome fish that are well conditioned, sturdy, disease free and well adapted to Australian conditions.
 
The reliability in the health and sizes of the fish we sell has been instrumental for the growth of Aquatic Solutions and Aquatic Culture and gives our customer base the confidence to keep ordering with us.
