Mudskippers area fascinating brackish water fish that prefers habitat both above and below the water. Mudskippers also usually prefer to eat above water but will happily dive in to chase potential food in the water.

The water must be brackish water with a salinity of 10 – 15 ppt and with a depth that they can fully submerge in. They need some room to swim even though they spend 90% of their time on land.
Sexing and Characteristics
Males will raise their dorsal fin in territorial disputes.
Feeding
Omnivorous, prefers live or frozen foods, but also accepts dry foods.
e.g. Crickets, small crustaceans like ghost shrimp, freeze-dried food, frozen blood worms.
Maintenance
Regular water changes are needed. We recommend a 50% water change at least fortnightly depending on feeding regularity, stock levels and tank size. Substrate can be cleaned monthly or as required.
