AQUATIC SOLUTIONS GOES SOLAR!
In attempt to reduce our energy expenses and to be in line with our environmentally conscious stance, we have installed a massive solar system (55kw to be exact with over 150 solar panels). This system was so large it required special grid approval from Ausgrid. We are so happy it has been approved and are looking forward to having all our daytime energy consumption provided by solar energy. Unfortunately present day backup battery technology is still prohibitively expensive and means that we will still be using the grid for our night time energy consumption. All in all this system should save us well over half of our energy bill which is quite substantial when you are running close to 2000 tanks. A special shout out to Ken from Myenergy (kenwit@myenergygroup.com.au) who has been very knowledgeable and helpful with this complex project and also thanks for converting all our lighting to LED.
We are all looking for ways in which we can make our hobby, business and industry more economical and I believe converting to LED lighting and solar energy is a great step in the right direction and even if you are leasing your premise, I am sure the guys at Myenergy can offer you some excellent solutions and explain current government rebates and incentives.
